My Broadcom WiFi card has the latest drivers. What have I tried so far? Linksys E1200 has the latest firmware. Most times I will see my maximum speed reported around 72MBPS, which is still higher than my internet speed, so I know that theoretically should not create a slowdown that I would experience when using the internet. ![]() I know wireless N speeds should be much higher, but I know you'll never achieve a pure 450MBPS. I have NEVER seen it go above 150MBPS, but I attribute that to it being a WiFi connection. For instance, I was just having an issue with my speed at 5.5MBPS, so I changed channels, and now it is reporting 150MBPS. If I go in to my Linksys E1200 router settings, I can change WiFi channel and sometimes this solves the problem, for awhile, but not forever. I can tell when it drops because streaming videos will stop/start and web pages will take longer to load. This is not using a speed test online through my browser, but rather viewing the WiFi status window through Network and Sharing in control panel. The problem I am having is that my network connectivity speed will consistently drop down to 5.5MBPS. My internet speeds in all actuality are somewhere near 60MBPS. I am also using a Linksys E1200 Wireless N router. I am running a Windows 10 Pro machine with a Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter. I'm not sure if my issue pertains to that or if it is a coincidence. I know a lot of folks had networking problems after the Creator's update. ![]() To be honest, I did not really recognize it prior to the Windows 10 Creator's update, but I can't verify this for sure.
